Configuration Analyst

(Global Information Technology, Inc has opening in South Plainfield, NJ) Configuration Analyst: Research, design, develop, and test operating systems level software and analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new systems or modification of an existing systems. Deploy applications and configure IIS webservices and setup application pool with respective service accounts. Install server features including handlers, asp extensions, and security features required for applications to work. Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors. Create and maintain documentation on release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists. Coordinate release content, effort, and schedule considering priority of projects and need for environment upgrade. Coordinate build schedules between deployment, database, QA, and operations. Perform application build/deploy using custom deployment driver. Support maintenance activities related to Team Foundation Server, compile release notes to summarize the contents of each deployment, and work with release team to transition from deployment to production. Troubleshoot and test code release issues. Utilize SQL Server, .NET Framework, Azure, Jenkins, and Team Foundation Server. Will work in unanticipated locations. Requires MS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related and 1 year of experience.
